This art was a collaborative effort between my daughter Ava and I.
Ava often draws alongside me in my studio and more often than not hands me a drawing and says “Here, you can use this for a poster, if you want.” (She’s got her own dedicated flat file drawer for her drawings).
So, it was finally time I took her up on her offer. The smiles she drew in a matter of minutes were delightfully more creepy and more authentic than what I had spent days trying to get to look right.
For this reason alone - this is my favorite thing I have ever done.

”I’m not made of stone…Lights shine on their own” - ‘Where Do We Go’ from the albumFutureNever.
The above lyric wasnt known to me when I conjured the concept for this album artwork.
Daniel has and continues to be a major influence in my life both artistically and musically. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around how this serendipitous encounter came to be. Something out in the cosmos, maybe. This singular image of a stone relic of Daniel would crack open a faucet of ideas that would keep spilling out of mine and Daniel’s heads. The artwork goes on forever.
This concept runs deep. There are many layers to be peeled back.
But like most art, its better left to interpretation.
This album is a journey and a look inside the brilliant mind of one of modern days greatest musical artists.

Its crazy how sometimes in life things come full circle...or perhaps full Circle K.
Yeah? No? Fair enough.
I think by this point anyone who knows me in any capacity, knows how impactful the Bill & Ted films have been on my life and continue to be. My mom often recalls frequently putting our VHS copy of Excellent Adventure on to keep me still; My ass glued to the floor and eyes fixated on the TV when I was getting on her last nerve, which happened to be pretty much every second of everyday apparently. Id sometimes watch the film on endless loop.
Even though Bogus Journey was the film that really opened my imagination and inspired me to pretty much do anything I did for the next 30 years of my life, Excellent Adventure was the doorway. It was the first. The music of these films ultimately influenced my choice to pick up a guitar and pursue music. One song from this soundtrack in particular was Robbie Robb's "In Time". It plays during the sequence in which Bill and Ted visit the futuristic temple. The song has always resonated with me and still gives me nostalgic chills. I must've put that song on every mixtape and rewritable CD I ever made.
Its mind blowing to me that 30 years later, I got the opportunity to create the artwork for a soundtrack that helped shape who I am today.
I figured unless the fountain of youth is unveiled sometime soon, chances are I (and most of us) wont live to see the year 2688 and get our hands on Wyld Stallyns debut album. I tried to create the next best thing I could.
I really have to thank Mo, Eric, Rob and the wonderful folks at MONDO for entertaining a fanboys obsession and dream and making it a reality. I owe them.

Beep-Beep, Richie!
This was my first time working with WaxWork Records and man, what a project to kick off with. This was a huge undertaking and took a very long time to complete and I think it shows.
I took on the daunting task of creating first-time-ever vinyl artwork for one of the most iconic monsters and movies and books of all time, Stephen King’s IT.
This is a massive motion picture score. It spans 3 LPs and therefore required a lot of art and I was more than up to the challenge. Waxwork and I went through a couple of different concepts and layouts before landing where we did. There were ideas involving picture book pop-ups, die-cut sleeves and manually moving paper mechanisms; looking back now, as always, less is more…and theres plenty here.
There is a lot I love about the artwork, the spot gloss varnish on the balloons and album photos, the balloon colored vinyl but most was my idea to include a newspaper excerpt with instructions to configure a paper boat out of.
A soundtrack and icon this important deserved extra special treatment. I wanted to create something for vinyl collectors and fans alike by a vinyl collector who is a fan. Approved by Mr. King himself, this project is at the top of my all time favorite things I have ever and will ever do.

"We've come to the place where we joke about the idea of the devil. With the horns, and the tail and all that. But that is Satan's lie to distract us from the reality of who he is. He's no mask in a Halloween store, he's not what you see in the movies." - The Preacher

This film is so great. This score is what I imagine would playing during the apocalypse. After viewing a screener of the film I was inspired to create an 80’s era album cover for Satan himself. I designed the classic Flying ‘V’ inverted to resemble horns or the tip of a pentagram.
I was oddly inspired by White Snake’s “Slide It In” album cover. Which is weird for a couple of reasons: 1. White Snake isnt that heavy 2. I couldnt name you a single White Snake song. I do know that cover, however and I’ve always been a huge fan of it.
If youre a death/doom metal fan - I highly encourage you to pick up this score. Its the most authentic sound of impending doom I can imagine.

I LOVE The Blair Witch Project (1999).
While It seems many people have grown to admire it for the jewel it is (as I do) - I'd have to say there is an equal amount who oppose it. Those people are stupid dummies.
Anywho this isnt for the 1999 film. This is for the sequel. The aptly-named BLAIR WITCH.
When Mondo/Death Waltz approached me for this project I was super excited and super nervous and super...well unsure how to approach it. I wasnt given anything much on the film other then the trailer and the words of a well-trusted source: "Its really fucking great."
So I thought it best to create something simple, iconic and dark. True to the first film.
I went in with '99's Blair Witch as my muse. The circle of branches on our front cover symbolizing the infinite circles our characters find themselves walking in again and again and again. These are not their woods. They are hers. I wanted the artwork to be as dark as possible without going full Smell The Glove. I wanted to put you in that environment. Lost in the dark and evil wood.
The score itself is so haunting. Extremely dark and ominous and brooding. There is a lack of any real instrumentation or clearly identifiable structured music. Its more the soundtrack of nightmares. Unnerving and unsettling sounds and tones. Much akin to the worst sounds you could imagine hearing being lost in those cursed woods. Its brilliant. Adam Wingard made us scared to go into the woods again...and terrified to hear its noises on our record players.
